Started in 1934 as Grundy County, Iowa's, only nationally chartered bank, GNB has grown to three office locations and 48 employees in Grundy Center, a community of 2500 in north central Iowa. A new bank branch office opened in Conrad in early December 2005.

The ownership of the bank remains the same today as it was in 1934 - local shareholders and employees. The values of the company mirror those established more than 70 years ago:
